Army patrol intercepts pick-up truck loaded with diesel on its way to Syria, arrests truck driver and his companion

NNA – The Lebanese Army announced, via Twitter, that one of its patrol units intercepted on 16/1/2021 in the locality of Qabsh–al-Qasr a pick-up truck loaded with about 2000 liters of diesel while en route to being smuggled into Syria, and arrested the truck driver, Mohammad Ali Jaafar, and his companion, Mohammad Hassan Yassin.

In this connection, the Army categorically denied the information circulated via social media that its patrol unit was subjected to an attack while it seized the truck and arrested the smugglers.
