Fahmi receives USD one million donation from "Lebanon Strong", Canadian government

NNA - Caretaker Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Mohammad Fahmi, on Thursday welcomed during a ceremony organized at Beirut port, a donation of USD one million granted by "Lebanon strong" association and the Canadian government to Beirut and Civil Defense firefighters.

Ambassador of Canada to Lebanon, Chantal Chastenay, President of "Caritas", Father Michel Abboud, "Lebanon Strong" representative, Iman Trabolsi, and Beirut Governor, Judge Marwan Abboud, attended the ceremony.

For her part, the Canadian diplomat said that she was delighted to attend this event.

"Strong Lebanon association brings together Lebanese and Canadians who come to the aid of Beirut port explosion victims, in cooperation with the Canadian government," she said.

In turn, Fahmi thanked the Canadian people and "Lebanon strong" association, as well as all the Lebanese in Canada for this donation, emphasizing its importance during this period.
