NNA - Head of the Private Hospitals Syndicate, Sleiman Haroun, on Tuesday announced that the privately-owned healthcare facilities are compelled to admit emergency cases only amid their ailing condition.

"In the upcoming stage, we will be obliged to receive emergencies only, especially dialysis and chemotherapy patients, and other life-threatening cases," Haroun told a press conference.

"We will give officials a period of two to three weeks to remedy the situation before moving to the next step," he added, "Which is the closure of hospitals except for emergencies."
