NNA - Head of the Permanent Military Court, Brigadier Hussein Abdullah, set April 16, 2020, a date for the trial of Amer al-Fakhoury, who is accused of murders and attempts to kill Lebanese people inside Khiam detention camp.

He's also accused of kidnapping and torturing people when he was in charge of the aforementioned detention camp, before the liberation of south Lebanon in the year 2000.

It is noteworthy that Military Investigative Judge, Najat Abu Shaqra, accused Al-Fakhouri of these crimes, for which he can get a death sentence; however, she dropped charges against Fakhoury's collaboration with the Israeli enemy due to the time factor which automatically drops these charges.
