"This agreement is just a bribe to sell the rights, sovereignty, dignity, and Palestinian Arab lands with Arab money," Berri said.
"We reconfirm that Lebanon and the Lebanese will not be false witnesses in the new death penalty against the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, including their right to return home. We will not accept, regardless of the conditions, to be an accomplice in the sale or exchange of these rights," the statement read.
Berri then called on Arab and Muslim countries, especially the Palestinian people, to strengthen national unity and resistance in order to free up the occupied land and preserve the little remaining Arab dignity.
Touching on the internal scene, Berri during Wednesday's Gathering the importance of re-considering laws that protect people's rights and respect the dignity of all.
"After the budget's approval, the institutional framework will complete its course through the government's appearance before parliament to gain confidence," Berri added, stressing keenness, seriousness, as well as the parliament's will to cooperate to ensure proper financial reforms in a way that serves the nation's best interest.
"The rescue operation is not impossible and is also not very difficult. The government has a big opportunity within 3 to 4 months after gaining confidence, as long as it avoids conflicts and tensions, especially since Lebanon cannot advance through sectarian practice, but rather by preserving institutions," Berri added.
