The pair broached the ramifications of the Red Notice which has been issued by the INTERPOL against Ghosn.
For his part, Jreissati confirmed to the Japanese Ambassador Lebanon's keenness on bolstering Lebanese-Japanese relations and the need to boost them in all fields, asserting that "Lebanon has nothing to do with Ghosn's escape from Japan."
Both sides finally agreed to maintain contact to follow up on developments concerning the aforementioned issue.
Jreissati then welcomed United Nations Coordinator for Lebanon, Jan Kubis, and discussed with him developments, especially with regard to the assassination of Iranian General, Qassem Soleimani, at dawn today at Baghdad Airport.
Both men discussed the anticipated repercussions of the assassination crime on the general situation in the region.
In turn, Kubis wished pf concerned parties to maintain restraint and to avoid escalation.
Furthermore, Jreissati received a phone call from US Ambassador to Lebanon, Elizabeth Richard, who discussed with him her country's position regarding the assassination of Major General Soleimani.
