NNA - Progressive Socialist Party Chairman Walid Jumblatt held a meeting this Tuesday with Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain al-Tineh whereby he underlined "the historic ties and friendship with Berri."

In response to a question, Jumblatt said: "I am not the one who nominated Samir al-Khatib, but the Constitution, and what is happening now is contrary to the Constitution. We must conduct binding parliamentary consultations."

"We will put forward a list of Druze candidates with great competencies and, later on, Samir al-Khatib or Saad Hariri will choose the ministers," He added, announcing that he would visit Hariri at 7:00 pm this evening.

Jumblatt pointed out that "there is a political dispute in the country, but this dispute should not necessarily lead to tension," uttering openness to a comprehensive meeting with President Michel Aoun.
