NNA - International organizations on Friday relayed to the Lebanese official authorities their deep concern with regard to the unattended participation of young children in the ongoing protests.

"This contradicts with the United Nations Charter with regard to children whose age is under 18 years," the statement added.

"The UN Charter condones children's right to freedom, justice, and peace without distinction between race, color, religion, politics, nationality and social belonging," the concerned organizations said in a statement.

However, they warned that children should be surrounded by their adult family members during any gathering in society or in nature, and should not be left unattended without the necessary protection or care.
