NNA - Minister of Tourism, Avedis Guidanian, on Tuesday applauded the United Arab Emirates' decision to lift the travel ban on its nationals to Lebanon.

"First, this step will lead to the return of Emirati tourists, and secondly it will encourage the return of UAE investments, which in turn will increase tourism spending," the Minister said in statement.

Guidanian stressed that the decision of the United Arab Emirates was to strengthen Lebanese-UAE relations, especially in terms of tourism. He thanked all those who contributed to lifting the travel ban, namely Prime Minister, Saad Hariri, as well as UAE officials, especially Emirati Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamad Saeed Al Shamsi.
