NNA - UNIFIL Commander, General Paolo Serra, sternly condemned Friday the deadly blats that targeted Haret Hreik yesterday, claiming the lives of five and injuring over 70.



"I condemn this loathsome and cowardly act which targeted the lives of civilians. I express my deep sympathy with the relatives of the victims and I wish speedy recovery for the injured," he said.



"At this tragic moment, I and the entire UNIFIL family stand by the side of the Lebanese government and people in our common pursuit of peace," he added.


"I hope the Lebanese authorities succeed in identifying the perpetrators of the horrid crime," he concluded.
