Family of Dahiyeh blast's riddling figure tries to ward off suspicions

NNA - Family of Qoteiba Satem, the key enigmatic figure in Dahiyeh's deadly blast yesterday, on Friday confirmed that their son had no truck with the explosion that claimed the lives of five and injured at least 70.

The family sternly condemned the bombing, stressing, "The culture of Wadi Khaled is not gory. It is a culture of moderation, forgiveness, and peaceful coexistence."

They even said that their son had gone missing since December 28 and that they had informed the security authorities about it.

"We confirm that our son did not belong to any party or religious side. He is a moderate person. He is a second year college student and he was getting ready to go to France to study," the relatives said in a statement today.

"We call the Lebanese judiciary and security apparatuses for transparent and just investigation," they added.

They also remarked that Qoteiba could not drive, wondering how a supposedly suicide-bomber carry his ID with him.

"We also wonder about the safe condition of the ID while the entire body is charred?" "How could he move freely in a booby-trapped car inside a Hezbollah's security zone that is completely unfamiliar to him?" they asked.
