NNA - Lebanese Forces chief, Samir Geagea, on Wednesday stressed that the Lebanese people's potentials and capabilities, in all respects, were sufficient enough to salvage the state from the prevailing deadlock.

"The big problem remains how to properly employ these capabilities," Geagea added, pointing to what he described as flagrant flaws in the way state administrations are dealing with public affairs "void of seriousness, follow-up, action or integrity."

"Despite all the special characteristics of Lebanon and its people, we find the Lebanese situation spiraled in a state of confusion and deterioration," he added.

Geagea's remarks came during a meeting in Maarab with a delegation of partisan forces in Diaspora countries.

"What is urgently needed is a rapid rescue operation led by President Michel Aoun, Prime Minister Saad Hariri, which heads in two directions. The first is to warn all parties not to involve Lebanon in regional conflicts, while the second is to start implementing reform by closing illegal crossings, stopping the contracts of illegal employees, appointing a new board of directors for EDL, and implementing the new electricity plan (...)," Geagea explained.
