NNA - Baath Party lawmaker Assem Qanso renewed calls Monday for the formation of a national unity government capable of controlling the security and political situation in the country, warning that any other form will flare up bickering.



"March 14 camp and Future Movement seek to prepare for fomenting strife in Lebanon to hit the Resistance under various guises," the Deputy told an interview on Annour radio station today.



"Siniora, who wants to disarm the Resistance, had worked for the Israeli intelligence services," he said, in accusation of the head of the Future parliamentary bloc.



"This is the same scheme as that of former US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, aiming to fragment the region to preserve Israel's power," he added.



He also accused the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of the assassination of former minister Mohammad Shatah, killed in a deadly blast last Friday in the Beirut area of Starco.
