NNA - Prime Minister-Designate, Tamam Salam's media bureau denied Saturday recent attributed news to Salam regarding his intention to apologize if the Council of Ministers convenes.

In an issued statement to this effect, Salam's bureau responded to the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation's news that Caretaker PM Najib Mikati's failure to call for a cabinet session is due to 2 main reasons, namely that priority is to the formation of a new government and that PM-Designate Salam has declared his intention to apologize if the Council of Ministers convenes.


The PM-Designate's bureau statement emphasized, herein, that "the words attributed to Salam have no grounds of truth, whereby he has neither stated nor hinted at any such intention."
