NNA - The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a statement Friday condemning heinous assassination of former Minister Mohammad Shatah, dubbing it an attack on unity and stability of Lebanon.
The Ministry vowed to continue cooperating with the Lebanese State and people.
"The Lebanese people, regardless of which strata they belong to, will not fall in this trap and will take a stance based on reason and moderation to protect the stability of their country."
The statement added that Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu had contacted PM Najib Mikati and Head of Future Bloc, Foad Siniora, and offered his condolences.
