NNA - President of the Republic, Michel Sleiman, chaired on Wednesday a meeting at Baabda palace in presence of Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and caretaker Ministers of Social Affairs and Public Health, to tackle the measures that had been taken towards the Syrian refugees, especially during the last storm that hit Lebanon.



Conferees reportedly highlighted the necessity for the international relief organizations to fully assume their duties in a way that would assuage the load of tribulations of both the Lebanese and Syrians.



Sleiman and Mikati had earlier sat in a one-on-one to discuss the latest political, security, and government-related developments.



He also took up the current general situation prevailing on the local scene with Health Minister, Ali Hassan Khalil.


With Social Affairs Minister, Wael Abu Faour, Sleiman took note of the course of the national program to support deprived households.
