NNA - "Lebanese Democratic Party" head, Deputy Talal Arslan, said on Tuesday that the absence of the state institutions and their paralysis would make the Lebanese Army an easy target.
The MP warned of continued attempts to strike the Lebanese Army through terrorist operations, similar to recent incidents in Sidon.
The Deputy called on concerned sides to speed up cabinet formation, address the state's affairs and fulfill their duties.
"A united Cabinet should be formed to grant the Army full political cover without setting any conditions," Arslan asserted, asking the Lebanese Army to hit with an iron fist all perpetrators.
He called on all the political factions to coordinate with the Army, which is the sole guarantor for civil peace and would keep the specter of chaos away from Lebanon.
