NNA - Army Chief-of-Staff, Majer General Walid Salman, on Monday noon visited the military South Command and the army deployed units in the city of Sidon, where he inspected the army checkpoint in the Awali area which witnessed the terrorist attack on Sunday evening.



Major General Salamn met with army officers and military men, relaying to them the guidelines of Army commander, General Jean Kahwaji, and his condolences on the martyrdom of Sergeant Samer Rizk, and wishes for speedy recovery to the wounded.



Major Salman heaped praises on "the swift, resolute reaction by the military men in the face of the two terrorist attacks," stressing that such a sort of crime shall not undermine the determination of the army to proceed with its national duties. He stressed work with all force to eradicate terrorism from its roots.



Salman urged military men for further vigilance and attentiveness, as well as to ensure citizens' security and stability.
