NNA - MP Jamal Jarrah told Future TV Saturday that it is the responsibility of President Michel Sleiman and PM-designate Tammam Salam to avert vacuum in Lebanon.
International reports have documented the demise of one thousand Hezbollah fighters in Syria, according to the MP. This went to prove that Hezbollah has implicated Lebanon in the Syrian crisis and begot danger into the Lebanese scene.
"March 8 Camp is used to browbeating everyone with another May 7 [attack]. And what it is doing in Syria is a continuous May 7 by killing the Syrian people; thus, resigning to the threats of Hezbollah entails that we are giving up the country to it."
Jarrah contended that President Michel Sleiman provoked March 8 Camp by holding on to national, lawful and constitutional constants, at a time when said Camp was used to presidents "like of Emile Lahoud."
"It is the duty of the President and PM-designate to forbid vacuum from overtaking the country."
He denied allegations by Al Akhbar newspaper that MP Foad Siniora and House Speaker Nabih Berri agreed to nominate Jean Obeid for the presidency. Similarly, he refuted claims that both politicians agreed on 6-9-9 cabinet formula.
"We appraise our candidate in accordance to his electoral program."
