NNA - An additional U.S. $ 15 million allocated for the Syrian refugees, is down the pipeline, visiting Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta, reassured Lebanese counterpart Najib Mikati, during his stopover at the Grand Government Serail today.
We shall never leave you alone in grappling with the refugee ordeal, Prime Minister Letta stressed. Italian peace-keeping in South Lebanon is a source of pride foe us all and, we intend to beef up economic assistance earmarked for Lebanon, Letta pledged.
We are pleased with the recent deal reached with Iran, and we would do all we can in support of a comprehensive peaceful settlement in the Middle East, he retorted. We aspire however to see an ameliorated political juncture in Lebanon, Letta concluded.
