NNA - "Future" bloc member, Deputy Hadi Hbeish, said on Wednesday that he was considering the possibility of amending the constitution to evade vacuum in the presidency post.
"I am studying the possibility of a constitutional amendment in two directions, either the President will carry out his duties when his mandate is expired .... or we force the MPs to attend the parliament session to elect their own candidate."
He told "Future" TV that the constitution stated that in case of vacuum in the Presidency Post the power of the President would go to the Council of Ministers which should have the right to convene to enjoy that prerogative.
