NNA - Head of Future parliamentary bloc, MP Fouad Siniora, said Tuesday the current caretaker cabinet could not convene in sessions because that would be a breach of the Constitution.



"As per the Constitution, the powers of the resigning government are limited to a caretaker capacity," he said, stressing that re-energizing the cabinet was anti-constitutional and thus, unacceptable.



Siniora made these remarks following a visit he paid today to Beirut Greek Orthodox Archbishop, Elias Audi.


The pair reportedly discussed an array of issues on the regional and international levels.



On a different note, Siniora did not fail to condemn that targeting of holy and religious sites in Syria.
