NNA - Ali Mahmoud Bahsa was fatally wounded Friday evening in a showdown with a unit from the Lebanese Armed Forces while attempting to reopen the blocked Minyeh-Akar international road, NNA correspondent reported.



A number of men took to the streets in protest against the arrest of a man from Taleb family in the village of Mahamara and cut off the Minyeh-Akar international road. A LAF unit was met by resistance as it reopened the road resulting in the death of Bahsa and injury of Hussein Taleb.


Tension still reigns over the region.
